The Los Angeles Dodgers' finale on Sunday against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field has the potential to be one of the more memorable games of the season. Not because of the teams involved, or a pseudo battle for third place, but rather because we might see a position player pitch. The Dodger bullpen is ridiculously thin heading into the Sunday finale, leading manager Don Mattingly to turn to extreme measures:
↵↵↵
↵James Loney is running out to the bullpen to get some work in for his role as the #Dodgers emergency pitcher today
↵Sure it would be nice if Chad Billingsley pitched deep into the game and gave the Dodgers a chance to win, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't rooting for Loney to pitch an inning or two.
