Kershaw has pledged $100 per strikeout this season to help raise money to build an orphanage in Zambia, where Kershaw and his wife Ellen visited during last winter. To date, Kershaw's Challenge has raised $19,900, and figures to add a few thousand more dollars before the year is done.
