Dodgers Finalize Rafael Furcal Trade, Receive Double A Outfielder Alex Castellanos From Cardinals
Ned Colletti's first acquisition as Dodgers general manager is now no longer with the club. On Sunday, the Dodgers finalized the trade of shortstop Rafael Furcal to the Cardinals for Double A outfielder Alex Castellanos. The Dodgers are also sending cash in the deal, paying all but roughly $1.4 million of the $3.93 million remaining of Furcal's salary.

Report: Rafael Furcal To Approve Trade To Cardinals
Dodgers general manager Ned Colletti would not elaborate on the status of Rafael Furcal getting traded to St. Louis, saying only that there were "a handful of issues" to get sorted out before the deal is official. According to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports, Furcal has in fact agreed to waive the no-trade clause, though nothing is yet official.

Hiroki Kuroda Will Remain A Dodger For Rest Of Season
It turns out all the speculation of whether or not Hiroki Kuroda would be traded was all for naught. The right-hander informed the Dodgers Saturday afternoon that he would remain with the team for the remainder of the season. Kuroda had a no-trade clause, but it is unclear whether or not the Dodgers had agreed to any type of a trade involving the pitcher.

Rafael Furcal Trade To Cardinals Close
The Dodgers may not have traded Rafael Furcal to the Cardinals yet, but a deal is very close. The shortstop has a no-trade clause, as a player with at least 10 years of big league service time and five years with his current team. According to Craig Calcaterra of NBC Sports, the Dodgers and Cardinals have agreed on a deal, with the only obstacle being Furcal's no-trade clause.

MLB Trade Deadline: Hiroki Kuroda Deal, If It Happens, Likely To Happen Saturday
The trade deadline isn't until Sunday at 1 p.m. PDT, but if the Dodgers make a deal involving Hiroki Kuroda, it looks like a move will happen at some point on Saturday. Kuroda has a no-trade clause that will need to be waived in order to make a deal, and the Dodgers will give Kuroda enough time to make a decision.
