Dodgers Vs. Giants: Dodgers Release Marcus Thames, SF Trades For Jeff Keppinger, Recalls Brandon Belt, Plus Starting Lineups

The Dodgers have lost five straight games to the Giants this season, and three straight games overall, and look to snap both streaks Tuesday night at AT&T Park in San Francisco. The Dodgers announced today that Marcus Thames, who was designated for assignment last Tuesday when the Dodgers traded for Juan Rivera, has cleared waivers and has been released.

Before the game, the Giants acquired infielder Jeff Keppinger from Houston for minor league pitchers Henry Sosa and Jason Stoffel. In addition, San Francisco optioned Hector Sanchez and recalled first baseman Brandon Belt from Triple A Fresno. Belt gets the start at first base for the Giants tonight. Rubby De La Rosa gets the start for the Dodgers, facing Madison Bumgarner of the Giants. Here are tonight's starting lineups:
