Seventh Inning Implosion Sends Dodgers To 9-7 Loss In Colorado
The Rockies scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh, leading to a 9-7 win over the Dodgers Thursday night at Coors Field in the first game of a four-game set. Colorado sent 11 men to the plate in the fateful bottom of the seventh inning, which took a whopping 38 minutes to complete

Dodgers Option Jerry Sands, Promote Trent Oeltjen (Plus Thursday Lineups)
Before the opener of their four-game series in Colorado, the Dodgers optioned outfielder Jerry Sands to Triple A Albuquerque, and purchased the contract of outfielder Trent Oeltjen to take his place on the 25-man roster. Sands showed signs of promise at times, but was hitting just .200/.294/.328 with two home runs in 41 games, and was in a 3-for-35 slump after hitting a grand slam on May 24.

Kershaw, Dodgers Open Four-Game Series With Rockies At Coors Field
The Dodgers led 7-3 going into the bottom of the seventh inning, but a 38-minute, 11-batter, five-run inning gave the Rockies the lead and a 9-7 win in the opener of a four-game series at Coors Field.
