Angels Vs. Dodgers Starting Lineups: Casey Blake Returns For Dodgers

The Angels on Sunday try to complete their sweep of the Dodgers for a second straight year at Dodger Stadium. Jered Weaver gets the start for the Angels against Clayton Kershaw for the Dodgers in one of the best pitching matchups of the season in baseball. Casey Blake, who has started just two of the last 13 games while dealing with a pinched nerve in his neck, is back in the starting lineup for the Dodgers today. Here are today's starting lineups:

Angels (39-39)

Izturis 2B
Aybar SS
Kendrick LF
Wells RF
Trumbo 1B
Callaspo 3B
Bourjos CF
Mathis C
Weaver P

Dodgers (34-44)

Gwynn LF
Blake 3B
Ethier RF
Kemp CF
Loney 1B
Uribe 2B
Navarro C
Carroll SS
Kershaw P

Though he has started just two of the last 13 games, Blake has appeared as a pinch hitter in nine games, and was 1-for-8 with a three-run double and a walk. Blake pinch hit in Saturday's game with the bases loaded in the bottom of the fifth, and hit a soft liner that Howie Kendrick leaped to catch, then doubled off A.J. Ellis at first base to end the threat.

Today's 1:10 p.m. PDT game will be televised by Prime Ticket (Dodgers) and KCOP (Angels). For more news and information on the Angels, the Dodgers, or the Freeway Series, be sure to read the SB Nation blogs True Blue LA and Halos Heaven.
