Ninth Inning Comeback Lifts Kershaw, Dodgers Over Angels, 3-2
Tony Gwynn Jr. capped a two-run ninth inning with an RBI single, as the Dodgers rallied past the Angels, 3-2, to avoid a three-game sweep. Vernon Wells put the Angels ahead, 2-1, with a solo homer off Clayton Kershaw in the top of the ninth.

Dodgers Notes: Jonathan Broxton Suffers Setback, Marcus Thames Avoids Disabled List
Before Sunday's series finale with the Angels at Dodger Stadium, Dodgers manager Don Mattingly gave updates on the status of a few injured Dodgers. In addition to Casey Blake's return to the starting lineup after dealing with a pinched nerve in his neck for two weeks, it appears Marcus Thames and his strained left calf will avoid the disabled list. However, injured closer Jonathan Broxton suffered a setback in his rehab.
