The Dodgers continue their season-long 12-game homestand on Monday night as they welcome the Detroit Tigers to town for a three-game series. This is the second straight year that the Tigers have traveled to Los Angeles to play at Dodger Stadium, as they Dodgers took two of three last season. Clayton Kershaw starts the series opener for the Dodgers, against Brad Penny, who was a Dodger from 2004-2008. Here are tonight's starting lineups:

Tonight is the fourth start in the last five games for Marcus Thames, who has nine hits in 52 at-bats this season. Since getting activated from the disabled list on June 6, Thames has three hits in 18 at-bats.
