The Dodgers on Tuesday activated outfielder and occasional first baseman Jay Gibbons from the disabled list, before tonight's game with the Chicago Cubs. Gibbons has been battling vision problems since the offseason, and has had to change his contact lens prescription a few times. Gibbons was on a rehab assignment with Triple A Albuquerque.
To make room for Gibbons, the Dodgers placed outfielder Marcus Thames on the DL with a strained right quad. Here are tonight's starting lineups:
