Dodgers Vs. Giants: Starting Lineups

The Dodgers welcome their rivals to town Wednesday night, as the Giants are in Los Angeles for a brief two-game series at Dodger Stadium. Clayton Kershaw starts for the Dodgers tonight, facing Matt Cain of the Giants. The Dodgers have taken four of seven games against the Giants this season, including three of four in Los Angeles.

With the right-handed Cain on the mound for the Giants, the left-handed batting Jay Gibbons will start in left field tonight. Gibbons is in a platoon with rookie Jerry Sands for the time being as the Dodgers look to get some production out of the position this season. Dodgers' left fielders have hit .205/.271/.298 with no home runs through 43 games this season. Here are tonight's starting lineups:

Dodgers' relief pitcher Matt Guerrier has donated $25,000 to the Salvation Army tornado relief fund, the club announced today. "This tragedy hit close to home and so many people lost so much," said Guerrier, the Alabama native. "I’m just trying to do what I can to help out where it’s needed." In addition, Guerrier donated $10,000 to the Dodgers Dream Foundation.
