The Los Angeles Dodgers open a three-game series in Miami Monday night against the Florida Marlins. Prior to tonight's opening game, the Dodgers activated backup catcher Dioner Navarro from the disabled list. Navarro had been on the DL with a torn oblique, an injury he suffered March 24 during spring training. To make room for Navarro, the Dodgers optioned catcher A.J. Ellis to Triple A Albuquerque.
Juan Uribe is out of the lineup tonight for the Dodgers, his third straight game missed with a tight left thigh. Casey Blake, who started the last seven games, hit .370/.500/.593 and scored 10 runs, is also out tonight. Hanley Ramirez, in a 2-for-27 slump, gets the night off for the Marlins.
