Sands Debuts, Lilly Woos, As Dodgers Beat Braves, 4-2
Outfielder Jerry Sands had a double and a sacrifice fly in his major league debut, and Ted Lilly pitched seven scoreless innings, giving the Los Angeles Dodgers a 4-2 win over the Atlanta Braves Monday night at Dodger Stadium. It was the second straight win for the Dodgers, in the opener of a four-game series with Atlanta. The Dodgers scored three runs in the first inning off Tim Hudson, and never looked back.

Dodgers' Jerry Sands Hits Double In First MLB At-Bat
Tonight, Jerry Sands made his debut for the Los Angeles Dodgers, and figured to have a tough draw against Tim Hudson and the Braves. After all, Hudson has been one of the more successful pitchers in baseball for over a decade. No matter, as Sands hit an opposite field double down the right field line off Hudson in the first inning in his first major league at-bat.

Dodgers Vs. Braves: L.A. Calls Up Jerry Sands, Starting Lineups, Etc
The Dodgers have called up Jerry Sands, their 2010 minor league player of the year, before beginning a four-game series with the Braves at Dodger Stadium. Sands hit .400 with five home runs in 10 games with the Triple A Albuquerque Isotopes in the Pacific Coast League. Sands, who has played outfield and first base, gets the start in left field tonight, and is batting seventh in his major league debut.
