MLB Standings Update: Angels, Dodgers Streaking In Opposite Directions

The Dodgers and Angels are each on streaks this week, but are heading in opposite directions. The Angels have won three straight games and seven of their last nine, and have moved within two games of the Texas Rangers in the American League West. The Angels have managed to have their top three starters -- Jered Weaver, Dan Haren, and Ervin Santana -- start 10 of their first 13 games. The Angels are 7-3 in those 10 starts, all quality starts, and are 8-5 on the season.

At 6-8, the Dodgers have fallen into a tie for fourth place in the National League West, well behind the red hot Colorado Rockies.
