Dodgers Vs. Giants Starting Lineups, Blake Sits Again, Furcal Placed On DL, DeJesus Recalled

The Los Angeles Dodgers will try to beat the San Francisco Giants for the fifth time in six outings this season, but they will have to defeat Tim Lincecum tonight at AT&T Park to do so. Before the game, the Dodgers placed shortstop Rafael Furcal on the 15-day disabled list with a broken left thumb. Furcal traveled back to Los Angeles today and will visit Dr. Steven Shin, a hand specialist, and Dr. Neal ElAttrache, the Dodgers’ head physician.

Infielder Ivan DeJesus was recalled to take Furcal's spot on the active roster. Here are tonight's lineups:

Dodgers (6-4)

Gwynn LF
Carroll SS
Ethier RF
Kemp CF
Loney 1B
Uribe 3B
Barajas C
Miles 2B
Billingsley P

Tony Gwynn figures to see considerable time in the leadoff spot, at least against right-handed pitchers, while Furcal is out. Casey Blake is out of the lineup for the third straight game, having hurt his leg in a collision with Chase Headley of the Padres in San Diego on Saturday night.

Giants (4-6)

Rowand CF
Sanchez 2B
Huff RF
Posey C
Sandoval 3B
Burrell LF
Tejada SS
Belt 1B
Lincecum P

Tonight's 7:15 p.m. PDT game will be televised by KCAL.
