Dodgers Vs. Giants: Elbow Injury Sidelines Juan Uribe

Dodgers' third baseman Juan Uribe, who was hit on the left elbow by a Tim Lincecum pitch in Thursday night's opener, was a late scratch from tonight's lineup. Uribe was penciled in to bat fifth tonight, as he will likely be most of the season when the Dodgers face a left-hander, swapping fifth and sixth spots in the order with James Loney. However, Uribe showed up today with swelling in his elbow, and he was removed from the lineup.

Aaron Miles will start at third base in place of Uribe. Uribe went to get x-rays, and manager Don Mattingly said they won't fully know the extent of the injury until those ex-ray results are in. Here is tonight's revised Dodgers lineup:

Furcal SS
DeJesus 2B
Ethier RF
Kemp CF
Thames LF
Loney 1B
Barajas C
Miles 3B
Billingsley P

Ivan DeJesus is making his major league debut for the Dodgers, batting second and playing second base.

Here is the Giants lineup:

Torres CF
Sanchez 2B
Huff RF
Posey C
Burrell LF
Sandoval 3B
Belt 1B
Tejada SS
Sanchez P

San Francisco is using the same eight players in tonight's lineup, but Pablo Sandoval and Miguel Tejada have swapped places in the batting order.
