The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Cincinnati Reds 2-0 on Saturday at Camelback Ranch, behind strong pitching from their opening day starter. Clayton Kershaw allowed just one hit and a walk in his four shutout innings, striking out three and facing the minimum 12 batters in his outing.

Dodgers' James Loney To Undergo MRI On Sore Left Knee
Dodgers' first baseman James Loney will undergo an MRI today for a stiff left knee, the club announced today. While is doesn't seem to be serious -- manager Don Mattingly said Loney wasn't in any pain, per Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times -- this is one of a few nagging injuries facing the Dodgers right now.

Dodgers, Diamondbacks Announce March 25 Benefit Game For Tucson Shooting Victims
The Los Angeles Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks today announced that they will play an exhibition game on March 25, to benefit victims of the Tucson shooting on January 8, which included Christina-Taylor Green, daughter of Dodger scout John Green and granddaughter of longtime baseball man Dallas Green.

Dodgers Sign Clayton Kershaw To One-Year, $500,000 Contract
The Los Angeles Dodgers today signed opening day starter Clayton Kershaw to a one-year contract. Kershaw, who at two years, 105 days of MLB service time is still under team control, will make $500,000 in 2011, per Ken Gurnick of MLB.com. Kershaw will be arbitration eligible for the first time in 2012.
