Dodgers Vs. Diamondbacks: Pregame Notes, Lineups, & Scheduled Starters In Upcoming Colorado Series

The Dodgers have won six of eight games at Chase Field this season, and are 13-6 in Phoenix dating back to 2008. Today is the final home game of the season for the Diamondbacks, who are 39-41 at home this season.

Per the Dodgers' game notes, "Since taking over as pitching coach in 2006, the former Dodger hurler has guided Dodger pitchers to a 3.90 ERA, the lowest mark in baseball."

Chad Billingsley has made four start this season against the Diamondbacks, and is 1-0 with a 4.68 ERA and has 31 strikeouts against just seven unintentional walks in 25 innings.

At Chase Field this season, Joe Saunders is 3-2 with a 3.07 ERA in six starts and has averaged over seven innings per start.

The Dodgers have lost their last seven three-game series, with their last series win coming in Milwaukee from August 24-26.

The Dodgers are 11-13 on Sundays this season. They are 7-13 in rubber games (the third game of a tied series) this season, including 2-8 on the road.

The starters for the Dodgers' series in Colorado are scheduled to be:

  • Monday: Ted Lilly vs. Ubaldo Jimenez
  • Tuesday: Hiroki Kuroda vs. Jeff Francis
  • Wednesday: Clayton Kershaw vs. Jhoulys Chacin

This is assuming of course that the flu bug currently running rampant in the Rockies' clubhouse doesn't claim anymore victims.
