On Veterans Day, Dodgers Announce Military Discounts For 2011

On a day to honor U.S. military, the Dodgers announced plans to honor the armed forces and provide discount tickets for active and retired military in 2011. The Dodgers held an event today at Dodger Stadium in which dozens of members of the armed forces and their families took batting practice and toured the stadium. As part of the plan, the Dodgers will offer discounted tickets to members of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and National Guard:

  • $110 Infield Box tickets on the Field level for $25
  • ↵
  • $60 Preferred Field Box seats for $20
  • ↵
  • $20 Left Field Pavilion tickets for $10
  • ↵
  • $15 Top Deck seats for $7
  • ↵

In addition, the Dodgers will have six military themed nights next season. Also, they will honor a veteran at every home game by treating them and their families to Field level tickets and a batting practice experience and recognizing them on the field during pregame ceremonies.

Tommy Lasorda, Don Newcombe, and Vin Scully, to name a few, took part in today's ceremony, which began with a visit to the Department of Veterans Affairs Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System.
