NBA Free Agency Rumors: Clippers Cancel Meeting With Ray Allen

The Los Angeles Clippers have been a busy bunch in free agency thus far, signing two veteran guards in the way of Jamal Crawford and Chauncey Billups. The team had also been linked to free agent Ray Allen and had scheduled a meeting with him on Thursday, but those plans have fallen apart with Crawford and Billups agreeing to deals.

Here is the latest from The L.A. Times:

With Crawford and Billups reaching deals with the Clippers, L.A. cancelled the visit they had planned for free agent shooting guard Ray Allen on Friday.

Allen's shooting ability in the backcourt could have been a nice bonus for the Clippers this upcoming season, but it would have created a logjam in Los Angeles if he signed with the club. It'll be interesting to see how the team spends the rest of their money with about $10 million locked up on Thursday.
