Reggie Evans Dealt To Brooklyn Nets In Sign-And-Trade With Clippers

I doubt many of us figured that Reggie Evans would be one of the first big deals in NBA free agency, but here we are. The Clippers have parted with Evans by dealing him to the Brooklyn Nets in a sign-and-trade. Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports had the initial report.

Evans was signed for $5 million over three years and will end up as part of the $3 million trade exception. He will provide the Nets with much needed rebounding inside to complement Brook Lopez. The Clippers receive a second round pick in return in the deal, although it's not quite clear what year they'll receive the pick.

It's unclear how much this deal will help the Nets in their efforts to land Dwight Howard.
