ESPN.com is reporting that the Los Angeles Clippers first preseason game will take place on October 6th, 2012 against the Denver Nuggets inside the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. This marks the first time any NBA preseason or regular season game has ever taken place on the famed Las Vegas Strip. David Stern has had an on-again/off-again relationship with the NBA, even going so far as to host the 2007 NBA All-Star Game in Las Vegas. That same year, referee Tim Donaghy was found to be illegally betting on games he officiated.
↵↵↵"We couldn't be more excited about our evolving partnership with Mandalay Bay," Clippers president Andy Roeser said. "We can't wait to get back on the court next season and build on the success of our 2012 playoff run. This preseason game in Las Vegas will be the first step in what we hope will be a very special season."

Tickets for the game go on sale Saturday, June 30th at 10 A.M.
