The Los Angeles Clippers were leading for most of the game against the Memphis Grizzlies, but after struggling for three quarters, Rudy Gay managed to have a great fourth, including an isolation drive and jumper in the paint on Blake Griffin to tie the game in the final seconds. Chris Paul came back with a layup but Zach Randolph knocked in two free throws after being fouled on a feed by O.J. Mayo. Paul had a chance to win it in the final seconds, but Tony Allen kept CP3 in front of him and Rudy Gay forced the turnover to force overtime.
Thanks to some important moments from Blake Griffin, the Clippers managed to take a six point lead, and then Paul took over with eight points in the overtime period to give L.A. a 99-93 overtime lead. Gasol managed a dunk and Mike Conley got a layup after a Paul turnover, but Mo Williams hit two free throws to make it 101-97 with 7.2 seconds left to put the game on ice.
