The Memphis Grizzlies used a balanced scoring attack and a second quarter run to take a 51-47 lead over the Los Angeles Clippers at halftime Wednesday night at FedEx Forum in Memphis. Rudy Gay scored eight points for the Grizzlies.
Chris Paul led the Clippers with 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting and also had three assists. Blake Griffin scored six points and grabbed three rebounds for the Clippers, who shot 54.3% (19 for 35) in the opening half. Randy Foye added six points for the Clippers as well.
O.J. Mayo added eight points in nine minutes off the bench for Memphis. The Grizzlies had seven players scored at least six points, and shot 47.6% (20 for 42). Mike Conley had eight points and three assists.
The Clippers were outrebounded by the Grizzlies 20-11 in the opening half.
