Chris Paul had 31 points, six rebounds, and four assists in leading the Los Angeles Clippers to a much needed 100-98 road win over the Oklahoma City Thunder Wednesday night at Chesapeake Energy Arena. The Clippers trailed by four points after three quarters and by double digits in the second half, but outscored the Thunder 24-18 in the fourth period.
Blake Griffin had 16 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists for the Clippers, who shot 46.9% on the night. The Clippers remain a half game ahead of Memphis, who beat Phoenix Wednesday night. Right now the Clippers are the No. 4 seed while Memphis is the No. 5 seed. The two could face one another in the first round, and home court advantage is on the line, with the Clippers holding the tiebreaker.
Kevin Durant had 22 points and nine rebounds to lead the Thunder. Russell Westbrook added 20 points for Oklahoma City in defeat. Former Lakers guard Derek Fisher scored eight points for the Thunder on 3-of-5 shooting, including two three-pointers.
