The good news for the Los Angeles Clippers is that they finally end their six-game road trip Friday night. The bad news is that is in their house of horrors in San Antonio, where thy have lost 17 straight games to the Spurs. That starts the weekend for the Clippers, who end it by beginning perhaps the toughest-scheduled six-game homestand possible on Sunday. Here is the weekend schedule for the Clippers:
Friday - Clippers at San Antonio (5:30 p.m., Prime Ticket): The Clippers have lost 17 straight games in San Antonio, including a 115-90 drubbing on December 28. The Clippers need to snap that streak to break even on their current road trip.
Sunday - Golden State at Clippers (6:30 p.m., Prime Ticket): The Clippers shouldn't have any trouble with the Warriors, but their six-game homestand is brutal from a scheduling standpoint. They have six games in eight days, with three different sets of back-to-back contests. They then follow that up with one off day followed by three road games in three days. That's nine games in 12 days, all part of a brutal 20-game March schedule. If the Clippers can get somehow through that within striking distance of first place in the Pacific Division, they will be in good shape.
