Cleveland Cavaliers rookie sensation Kyrie Irving will not be suiting up Wednesday night against the Los Angeles Clippers due to a concussion.
Kyrie was kneed in the head during the fourth quarter against the Miami Heat Tuesday night, and was said to be experiencing a headache thereafter that worsened after the game. His headache continued through the night and during pregame activity today, causing the team to do an evaluation. Cavaliers training and medical team diagnosed him with the concussion, backed by by Cavs team Dr. A.J. Cianflocco.
Currently there is no timeline for Irving’s return to the Cavs, he is seen as day-to-day and will be updated as updates occur. But for tonight, the Clips dodged themselves a bit of a bullet, having 18 points and five assists a game sitting on the bench at Quicken Loans Arena.
