Clippers Vs. Wizards Game Score: Blake Griffin Helps L.A. To 58-34 Halftime Lead

Blake Griffin scored 14 points, nabbed nine rebounds, and had six assists in the first half, leading the Los Angeles Clippers to a commanding 58-34 lead over the Washington Wizards at halftime at the Verizon Center on Saturday night. The Clippers have beaten Washington (4-19) five straight times.

The Clippers (13-7) used a 9-0 run in the first quarter to take a 28-17 lead after one. Griffin scored 12 points on 6-of-8 shooting in the opening quarter. Los Angeles, which shot 56.5% (26 for 46) in the first half, ended the second quarter on a 9-0 run for its biggest lead of the game.

DeAndre Jordan had 10 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks for the Clippers in the first half, and Chauncey Billups scored nine points, hitting all three of his attempts from beyond the arc.

John Wall had 10 points, four rebounds, and four assists for Washington. Former USC Trojan Nick Young also scored 10 points for the Wizards in the first half. Washington, last in the NBA in field goal percentage this season, made just 14 of 39 shots in the first half (35.9%).
