NBA Standings 2012: Los Angeles Clippers, San Antonio Spurs Fight For Second Place In Western Conference

The Los Angeles Clippers continued their road romp last week with three wins in four games against the Eastern Conference, and have tied the 1974-1975 Buffalo Braves for the best start in franchise history at 17-8. They hold the second best record in the Western Conference, an eyelash above the San Antonio Spurs, who sit atop the Southwest Division after seven straight wins. Here are the updated NBA standings in the west, through games of Saturday night:

The Clippers conclude their Grammy road trip on Monday night in Dallas before returning home Wednesday night against Washington. The Clippers host the San Antonio Spurs in a Western Conference showdown next Saturday night at Staples Center.
