The Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Phoenix Suns, 117-99, at the Staples Center on Saturday afternoon. Blake Griffin led the Clippers with 24 points and eight rebounds. The big man also added four assists and four blocks.
The score was close heading into the fourth quarter, with L.A. holding a narrow two-point lead. The Clippers outscored the Suns 32-16 in the final period to turn the game into a blowout.
Jamal Crawford scored 21 points as a reserve for the Clips. He hit 8 of 19 shots and all four of his foul shots. Chris Paul posted a double-double with 16 points and 11 assists.
Phoenix was led by 21 points from Michael Beasley, who came off the bench instead of his usual starting role. Beasley was efficient, hitting 7 of 11 shots in a losing effort.
The win is the fifth-straight victory for Los Angeles, and the sixth-straight loss for the Suns. The Clippers remain all alone at the top of the Pacific Division standings, one game ahead of the Golden State Warriors.
