The talk of the NBA still remained the talk of the NBA this past weekend as the Los Angeles Clippers won their 16th and 17th straight games on Friday and Sunday, both over the Utah Jazz.

On Friday, the Clippers came back from a 19-point second half deficit to pull off the two-point win on the road then on Sunday, they beat the Jazz, 107-96, at home behind 29 points from Caron Butler. In the midst of all of this, the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Portland Trail Blazers, 104-87, behind 27 points from Kobe Bryant on Friday as the Lakers are currently a ½-game behind the Minnesota Timberwolves for the eighth spot in the Western Conference.

The rest of the league saw some big games as well. The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Denver Nuggets, 81-72, on Saturday and the Golden State Warriors blew out the Boston Celtics, 101-83, on the same day. The Miami Heat lost two straight games, the second coming at the hands of the Milwaukee Bucks, 104-85, on Saturday and the Oklahoma City Thunder blew out the Houston Rockets, 124-94.

On Sunday, the Sacramento Kings surprised the Boston Celtics with a 118-96 win and the San Antonio Spurs dismantled the Dallas Mavericks, 111-86.
