The Los Angeles Clippers put "Lob City" on full display for the Detroit Pistons fans in attendance as they prevailed, 88-76, on Monday night and extended their season-high winning streak to 10 games.
After a turnover by the Pistons in the final two minutes, Blake Griffin took possession on a fast break and gave the ball up to a streaking Matt Barnes. Barnes then threw it off the glass for an intense one-handed dunk by Griffin that brought the crowd at The Palace of Auburn Hills on their feet.
It was a fitting end to a stellar road trip for the Clippers, who improve to 8-3 on the road and 18-6 on the season.
Jamal Crawford and Griffin led the scoring for L.A., pouring in 15 points apiece. Griffin was efficient, going 6-for-11 and adding four rebounds and three assists. Chris Paul added 14 points and dished out seven assists, adding four rebounds and three steals.
Brandon Knight had a game-high 16 points for Detroit, which turned the ball over 15 times. The Clippers will return home on Wednesday to face the New Orleans Hornets at Staples Center.
