NBA All-Star voting 2013: Chris Paul, Blake Griffin among leaders at positions

After a strong start to the season, the Clippers figure to be represented well at the 2013 All-Star Game.

The NBA released a voting update on Thursday to reflect which players are currently on pace to play in the 2013 All-Star Game. Two members of the Los Angeles Clippers ranked highly at their positions, and it seems they will garner a spot on the Western Conference team next February.

Blake Griffin currently sits in third place amongst frontcourt players. Kevin Durant is the leader with 605,965 votes, and he holds a comfortable lead over Dwight Howard and his 434,168 votes. Griffin has 307,855 tallies as of Thursday, Dec. 13.

As for the guards, Chris Paul is in second place behind only Kobe Bryant. The Lakers star leads all Western Conference players with 639,419 votes. Paul has 353,603 votes to his name, which is about 37,000 more than Jeremy Lin, who sits in third place.
