Los Angeles Clippers head coach Vinny Del Negro said after Friday's practice that Lamar Odom and Grant Hill will not see any action in this Saturday's game against the Utah Jazz, according to the team's Twitter account.
Odom and Hill also sat out of Wednesday night's exhibition game against the Jazz along with Thursday's practice as the team looks to give its veterans some rest. Odom has reportedly been dealing with some conditioning issues after showing up to camp overweight, while Hill turned 40 earlier this month.
Del Negro told the media before Wednesday's game that he wishes Odom was "in a little bit better condition" but still plans on bringing him along gradually.
As for Hill, the forward underwent a minor knee surgery at the end of March last season and only played in three of the Suns' final 17 games. Obviously this isn't Hill's first rodeo, though, so Del Negro feels comfortable in letting his veteran sit.
In related news, Clippers point guard Chauncey Billups also missed the last game and Thursday's practice for similar rest reasons but it seems like he's good to go for Saturday, as Del Negro never mentioned him as an inactive.
