The Los Angeles Clippers edged out the Utah Jazz 96-94, as they improved to 2-2 on the preseason. The Jazz were leading comfortably through two quarters before a 34-16 third quarter powered by the Clippers put them right back in it. The Clippers and Jazz went back and forth for most of the fourth quarter before pulling it out in the final seconds.
The highlight of the game was this block-and-dunk sequence from Jazz forward Jeremy Evans.
Blake Griffin played over 28 minutes and led the Clippers in scoring with 23 points. Griffin added five rebounds, five assists and five steals. DeAndre Jordan added 16 rebounds and 11 points. Jamal Crawford had 18 points off the bench and Eric Bledsoe contributed 11 points of his own. Chris Paul added six points, nine assists and four rebounds in 24 minutes of action.
Randy Foye led the Jazz off the bench with 17 points. Enes Kanter had 14 points, Paul Millsap put up 13 points and eight rebounds, and Gordon Hayward put in 11 points and four rebounds.
