Lakers Vs. Clippers: Kobe Bryant Looks To Continue Scoring Spree

The Los Angeles Lakers look for their sixth straight win on Saturday night as they face their cross-building rivals in a road game against the Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center. Kobe Bryant won Western Conference Player of the Week last week after averaging 33.0 points per game. A second straight weekly honor is all but a lock as Kobe has scored at least 40 points in all three games this week, all wins.

Bryant has surged into the NBA scoring lead with three consecutive 40-point games, now averaging 31.2 points per contest. Bryant has scored at least 30 points in six of his last seven games. Kobe's 262 points over his last seven games are his most in a seven-game stretch since scoring 344 points (49.1 per game) in a seven-game stretch in March 2007 that included five games of 50 points or more and two games of 60 or more.
