Forgive the Clippers for playing Ray Charles in their draft room, as they clearly had Georgia on their mind on draft night. The Clippers used the first of their two second-round picks on Georgia forward Trey Thompkins at No. 37, then ten picks later selected his teammate, guard Travis Leslie. The 6-foot-4, 202-pound guard was an All-SEC second team selection by the league's coaches.
Leslie was the Bulldogs' second-leading scorer, behind Thompkins, averaging 14.4 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game as a junior. He shot 48.7% and 49.2% from the field in his last two seasons, and improved his free throw shooting to 80.1% last season. Tom Ziller of SB Nation suggested Leslie could compete for minutes on the Clippers right out of the gate.
