Davis' season-high 16 assists Helps Clippers Beat Knicks At Madison Square Garden, 116-108

New York, NY (Sports Network) – Baron Davis scored 16 points and dished out a season-high 16 assists, as the Los Angeles Clippers used a balanced attack to take down the New York Knicks, 116-108, at Madison Square Garden.

Randy Foye added 24 points for the Clippers, who snapped a four-game skid. Blake Griffin tallied 21 points and six rebounds.

Ryan Gomes and DeAndre Jordan chipped in with 18 and 17 points, respectively, for Los Angeles, which improved to 1-3 on its season-long 11-game road trip. Jordan also pulled down eight rebounds.

Amare Stoudemire finished with 23 points and five boards for the Knicks, who have dropped three of four. Danilo Gallinari donated 21 points and five rebounds for New York, which got 18 points and six boards from Timofey Mozgov.

The Knicks scored the final seven points of the first quarter to take a 29-28 lead.

Trailing by three, 35-32, with eight minutes left until half, the Clippers put together a 16-2 run to go in front. Gomes tallied eight points during the stretch, including a three-pointer with four minutes remaining to make it 48-37.

A Davis layup gave Los Angeles a 56-41 margin with 1:15 left. It was 58-47 at the break.

A tight third stanza resulted in the Clippers taking an 88-78 lead into the fourth.

New York ripped off seven straight points midway through the fourth to cut the gap to 99-96 on Stoudemire’s slam with 5:41 to play.

After each team traded baskets, Foye made a three-pointer to make it 104-98 with 3:47 left. Just moments later, Foye sparked an 8-0 burst with a three- pointer. Jordan capped the surge with an alley-oop dunk to extend Los Angeles’ margin to 114-102 with 1:03 to go.

New York had won three straight over the Clippers, including a 124-115 win in Hollywood back on November 20…Los Angeles improved to 4-18 as the visitor this season…The Knicks were without forward Ronny Turiaf (ankle)…Eric Bledsoe had 16 points and eight rebounds for the Clippers, who shot 54.7 percent from the field…Raymond Felton tallied 17 points and 12 assists for the Knicks.
