According to NBA insider David Aldridge the Los Angeles Clippers have agreed to terms with free agent Caron Butler for a reported 3-year, $24 million dollar deal that would send him to a Clips squad that is certainly on the rise.
Butler, the nine year veteran out of UConn, missed a majority of the 2010-11 season when a knee injury back in January cut his season to only 29 games for the Dallas Mavericks. He still averaged 15 points in around 30 minutes of playing time each game and should provide another spark to the Clip Show led by youngsters Blake Griffin and (for now) Eric Gordon and DeAndre Jordan.
Butler can't sign with Los Angeles until Friday at 12:01 a.m. ET (9:01 p.m. PT tonight) when the NBA's free agency period officially opens.
