The Los Angeles Clippers took a 24-20 lead into the second quarter only to watch it evaporate at the hands of the Golden State Warriors as the first half ended with the Clippers down 43-41.
The Clippers held an eight-point lead after two free throws by Brian Cook made it 36-28. But the Warriors went on a 9-0 run to take a one-point lead with less than four minutes remaining in the half and after going up 40-39, never trailed again.
The Warriors were led by David Lee's 11 points and eight rebounds and Monta Ellis' 12 points and four assists as his penetration gave the Clippers plenty of problems. The Clippers attack was more balanced with Chauncey Billups leading the way with nine points. The Warriors have held Chris Paul in check as he's missed five of his six shots. Blake Griffin has seven points and four rebounds.
