After getting blistered on Monday night by the Los Angeles Clippers 114-95 in their exhibition opener, the Los Angeles Lakers look to return the favor on Wednesday as the two teams complete their brief NBA preseason schedule at Staples Center. But the Lakers will have to do so without Kobe Bryant, who is out for Wednesday (at least) with an injured right wrist.
Chris Paul and Chauncey Billups torched the Lakers for 40 combined points on Monday, and tonight they will go up against Derek Fisher and Devin Ebanks, the Lakers' starting backcourt on Wednesday. Here are the relevant details for Wednesday's game:
Location: Staples Center, downtown Los Angeles
Home Team: The two teams share the building, but the Clippers are the home team on Wednesday after winning as the road team on Monday night.
Time: 7:30 p.m. PST
TV: Just like Monday, there are multiple options. The Lakers' telecast is on KCAL, with new play-by-play man Bill Macdonald and long-time analyst Stu Lantz; the Clippers' telecast will be on Prime Ticket, with Ralph Lawler and Michael Smith calling the action. The game will also be shown on NBA TV.
Preseason Series History: The Lakers are 14-8 against the Clippers in the preseason dating back to 1979.
