The Los Angeles Clippers have been hot of late, winning 11 of 15 games before last night's road loss in Portland to the Trail Blazers. After a horrid 1-13 start, the Clippers are 15-13, pushing themselves to the outer edge of playoff contention. Even after the loss, the Clippers stand just six games behind Portland in the loss column for the eighth and final playoff spot in the West.
In all likelihood, the Clippers won't be reaching the postseason this year. After all, they are simply too far behind to make a run, and they have a hellish stretch of games coming up. The Clippers are just 3-13 on the road this season, and they have an 11-game road trip that takes up almost the entire month of February. However, the Clippers are near the top of the Western Conference against the point spread. The Clippers are 23-18-1 against the spread this season, the fourth-best record in the conference.
