Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Blake Griffin recorded his 24th straight double-double with 24 points and 14 rebounds, and the Los Angeles Clippers topped the Heat, 111-105, ending Miami's road winning streak at 13 games. Eric Gordon finished with 26 points, while Baron Davis contributed 20 points and nine assists for LA, which has won three-straight. Ryan Gomes was the fourth Clippers starter to end in double-digits as he added 11 points for the victors.
Dwyane Wade scored a game-high 31 points for Miami, which had not lost on the road since a 106-95 setback to the Dallas Mavericks on November 27. LeBron James finished with 27 points, eight rebounds and six assists, while Chris Bosh added 26 points and 13 rebounds in the loss. Mario Chalmers chipped in 12 points in a reserve role for Miami, which also had a nine-game overall winning streak snapped and lost for only the second time in 23 games.
After getting a double technical foul with Mario Chalmers of the Heat late in the fourth quarter, Griffin threw down a crowd-pleasing double-pump slam dunk, followed by a stare down of Chalmers. Here is video, courtesy of Ben Golliver from Blazers Edge:
