Clippers Lose To Nuggets, 109-104

Denver, CO (Sports Network) - Carmelo Anthony finished a game for the first time in a week, scoring 26 points as the Denver Nuggets closed out a perfect four-game homestand with a 109-104 victory over the LA Clippers. J.R. Smith added 21 points and Chauncey Billups had 17, including a pair of free throws down the stretch that iced a close game for the Nuggets.

Denver has won six games in a row overall and completed its 4-0 homestand with victories over Chicago, Phoenix, Milwaukee and now the Clippers. Eric Gordon had 24 points to lead the Clippers, who had a letdown after beating NBA-leading San Antonio on Wednesday. Clippers star Blake Griffin scored 17 with 12 rebounds, but was fouled hard by Anthony near the end of the game and got up clutching at his right shoulder.

The Nuggets forward was ejected for arguing in Wednesday's game against the Bucks and pulled himself out against the Suns last Friday because of the stomach flu.
