The Los Angeles Clippers will be without their leading scorer tonight in New Orleans when they face Chris Paul and the Hornets. Eric Gordon, who is averaging 21.1 points per game this season, is out for tonight's game with what the team called a "left shoulder stinger." Lisa Dillman of the Los Angeles Times has more information:
"He’s better today, then if he goes in and gets hit again, he could be out a week," [head coach Vinny] Del Negro said. "It doesn’t make a lot of sense. He’s a tough kid. He’s a strong, powerful kid, so for him to not play, he’s got to be pretty sore."
Here are the probable starting lineups for tonight's contest:
Clippers
Point Guard: Eric Bledsoe
Shooting Guard: Rasual Butler
Small Forward: Ryan Gomes
Power Forward: Blake Griffin
Center: Chris Kaman
Baron Davis is listed as questionable with a sore left knee. Randy Foye is listed as day-to-day with a strained left hamstring.
Hornets
Point Guard: Chris Paul
Shooting Guard: Marco Belinelli
Small Forward: Trevor Ariza
Power Forward: David West
Center: Emeka Okafor
The Clippers have lost 13 straight to the Hornets.
