Angels Vs. Tigers Game Preview: Halos Go For Sweep

The Los Angeles Angels will look for a three-game sweep of the Detroit Tigers on Sunday at Angel Stadium.

The Angels have won 10 of their last 11 games, pulling within two games of the second spot in the American League Wild Card race. After a season of ups and downs, the Angels finally seem to be clicking in every facet of the game.

"It's about how you finish, obviously. That's the classic thing everybody says. But the season's not over today, it's not over tomorrow," said Angels pitcher C.J. Wilson to MLB.com. "We still have a couple of weeks where we have to continue to play like this in order to get where we want to get. Texas is not slowing down, and neither are any of these other teams we're chasing."

The Angels will continue their chase by putting Zack Greinke on the mound. After struggling mightily in August, Greinke has a 1.66 ERA in his last three starts, all of them wins.

The Tigers will start Anibal Sanchez, another pitcher who has performed well on the mound. Sanchez has allowed just two runs in 19 2/3 innings for the Tigers.
