The Los Angeles Angels face the Detroit Tigers Saturday night, looking to keep the momentum going after winning the series opener in walkoff fashion. They took Friday night's game on a two-out pinch-hit single by Alberto Callaspo.
C.J. Wilson (11-9, 3.85 ERA) will be on the mound for the Halos. He's won his last two starts but had a rough outing against the Tigers in July, giving up seven runs in six innings. He'll face Tigers ace Justin Verlander (13-7, 2.73 ERA), whom the Angels haven't seen this season. They'll have to do better than they did Friday night against Max Scherzer, when they were 1-for-6 with runners in scoring position before Callaspo's single.
