The Los Angeles Angels have taken the first two games of their series with the Oakland A's, and now turn to Dan Haren to earn the series sweep on Wednesday.
Haren (9-10, 4.58) pitched seven shutout innings in his last start against the Mariners on Friday, his first win in his last five starts. Unfortunately he is 0-3 with a 4.85 ERA in his last four starts against Oakland.
The A's will counter with Brandon McCarthy (8-5, 3.10 ERA) who is 1-3 with a 5.30 ERA in his last six starts against Los Angeles. He has been solid since returning from a two-month DL stint for a strained shoulder, posting a 2-2 record with a 4.60 ERA in five starts.
First pitch is set for 12:35 p.m. PT with coverage on Fox Sports West.
