The Los Angeles Angels have gone 7-3 over their last 10 games and put together a five-game winning streak that came to an end on Sunday. That's the good news. The bad news is that they will be heading to the O.co Coliseum on Labor Day to kick off a three-game series against the Oakland Athletics, who are on top in the Wild Card race, just three games behind the Texas Rangers in the American League West and have won nine games in a row.
The A's and Angels series begins on Monday and can potentially be a massive swing either way for the postseason hopes of both teams. The A's have looked far from fallible lately and the Angels can ill afford to make any mistakes over the next three days. A lot of eyes will be on this series and rightly so.
