The Los Angeles Angels will turn to ace Jered Weaver against the Chicago White Sox on Sunday and it couldn't come at a better time.
With only two weeks left in the regular season, every game is precious and with a win on Saturday over the White Sox, the Angels pulled within 2.5 games of the second AL Wild Card spot.
"The biggest thing is, you need to win games and get other teams to beat up the teams in front of you," said Angels second baseman Howie Kendrick to MLB.com. "We'll take it any way we can get it."
Weaver will look for his 19th win of the season while sporting a 2.79 ERA (third in the AL). He will face White Sox righty Gavin Floyd, who is 10-10 with a 4.50 ERA this season.
