Angels Vs. White Sox Game Recap: Los Angeles Defeats Chicago 4-2

The Los Angeles Angels scored four runs in the 1st inning and didn’t look back, downing the Chicago White Sox 4-2.

Albert Pujols got the scoring started for the Angels, using a ground rule double to drive in Mike Trout. Torii Hunter added an RBI single before Mark Trumbo drove in two more to cap off the four-run 1st.

This cushion proved enough for Angels right-hander Dan Haren, who allowed two runs on six hits with four strikeouts over six innings. Four Angels’ relievers combined to secure the victory, with closer Ernesto Frieri picking up his 20th save of the season.

Los Angeles’ win and an Oakland Athletics’ loss means the Angels are now 2 ½ games back of the second AL Wild Card spot.
